ARDX is committed to enhancing and developing critical workforce skills in youth and young adults with paid and unpaid internship programs geared towards rising high school seniors and post-graduate level students.
RISE Internship for Post-Graduate students
RISE is an unpaid internship for post-graduate students who receive credit for working with ARDX. Internship opportunities vary and are dependent upon the requirements of the individual’s program. Past interns have developed research programs for the Healthcare Academy and planned public health events. Most organizations, including ARDX, utilize their intern program as a pipeline to evaluate and train students for potential full time opportunities after graduation. START Internship Program for High School Students
Smart Teens Accepting Responsibility Today (START) is a summer internship program for rising high school seniors in Hampton Roads, Virginia. These students engage in various activities including community event planning, database development, networking and marketing, and more! In 2010, START Interns planned a community event where they educated youth about “going green” and also provided over 200 students with required school supplies for the new year.
