About the Owner

ARDX President and CEO Angela Reddix is a visionary thinker with global perspective and entrepreneurial drive which inspires her planning and decision making. She is a valued key advisor on essential government data management systems and as a consultant on highly-visible health information management programs. Angela’s vision has created an organization that is committed to improving the lives of others by improving healthcare practices and exercising social responsibility.

With a rare blend of creativity and business acumen, Angela is a sought after presenter. She has presented at national conferences hosted by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the American Association of Medical Audit Specialists (AAMAS). Angela designed and facilitated a session on developing and sustaining public health partnerships for the HIV Prevention Leadership program, which is funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), through a cooperative agreement with the Association of Schools of Public Health (ASPH). She also served as a facilitator for the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) Conference on Performance Measures for Medical Countermeasure Distribution and Utilization in Public Health Emergency Response.

Angela saw a need to link the national electronic medical record initiative to ARDX, thus she created the Health Resources Information Center (HIRC). HIRC provides training in the local community to help individuals become certified in medical billing and coding. ARDX received accreditation from the American Association of Professional Coders to provide continuing education units (CEUs) for those who complete HIRC courses.

Angela believes in the concept of social responsibility. She brings this to life through several ARDX programs which help the most vulnerable populations children / youth and the elderly. Angela spearheaded two community outreach programs which ARDX sponsors each year. To combat obesity among the youth, ARDX conducted its first Healthcare Academy in 2008. The goal of the program is to educate youth about fitness and nutrition, and to provide strategies for healthy living. ARDX has conducted over 20 Healthcare Academies since 2008. ARDX also sponsors an annual Women’s Wellness Conference to provide women with information about health, wellness, and financial wellbeing.

As an active member of her community, Angela is a board member and consultant to several local organizations. Angela currently serves on the board of the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia, where she has committed ARDX support both financially and through participation in Foodbank sponsored events. Angela also works with the Urban League of Hampton Roads to enable African Americans and others to secure economic self-reliance by providing services and programs in education, employment, health, and housing to Hampton Roads communities. For several years, Angela has presented at the annual Conference for Girls and Young Women at Old Dominion University where she helps participants understand the importance of self-perceptions. Most recently, Angela delivered a presentation entitled “A Journey to Becoming a Successful Entrepreneur” to help encourage the young business students at Norfolk State University’s, Honors College School of Business.
